In a series of images leaked from the Battlefield Labs playtests, a user has revealed that the Battlefield 6 factions are refreshingly simple and ‘back to basics’. By that, I mean that the outfits they’re wearing are exactly what you’d expect from a modern, boots-on-the-ground military shooter.
No gaudy colours, no strange suits, and nothing to suggest that these operators are anything other than battle-hardened soldiers.
Finally
I’m a huge fan of traditional first-person shooter titles like Call of Duty, Battlefield, and Medal of Honor, and I can’t stress how much I hate it when bizarre crossovers bring unnecessary skins and outfits into these games. While there’s no guarantee we won’t eventually see these kinds of collaborations in Battlefield 6 (not the confirmed title), it’s good to see EA starting on the right foot.
In a series of leaked Battlefield 6 shots, we get a glimpse at the full suite of factions and their respective operators:
First look at all the subfactions in Battlefield 6 • United Albion – Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, UK • Coyote Squad – 91st Cavalry Regiment, US • The Desert Locusts – 47th Infantry Regiment, US
(Thanks to MP1st for the OG link)
In these images, we can see operators and outfits that conform to our ‘standard expectations’ of a modern soldier. Everything is as we’d expect, nothing is out of the ordinary, and most importantly, the factions look good.
Unfortunately, I’d suggest you can bet your bottom dollar on there being skin packs later down the line that introduce much more unique and outlandish outfits. It has been the running operating model for years, and as Battlefield 6 will have a free-to-play battle royale mode, you just know it will be supported by microtransactions and a battle pass.
For now, let’s enjoy these leaked Battlefield 6 factions and appreciate how normal they look.
