Toronto Ultra is continuing to do the most for the Call of Duty esports ecosystem and has kicked off the AMD Overclocked tournament, a $10,000 pro-am that’ll unfold over the next two days. It features two of the four Call of Duty teams not competing in the upcoming Call of Duty League Championship tournament, which coincidentally takes place next week in (read: near) Toronto.
Fans have been clamouring for some Call of Duty content on social media. It has been almost a month since the last competitive Call of Duty League fixture, and it has caused the hype for COD Champs to drop off ever so slightly.
‘Your COD Fix Before Champs’
If you’re chomping at the bit to experience the Call of Duty League Championship next week, Toronto Ultra is here to satiate your appetite until it arrives.
The AMD Overlocked event, backed by Toronto Ultra, will play out over the next two days on YouTube.
There’s a stacked pro-am lineup competing in the AMD Overclocked tournament, including LAG M8 and Minnesota Rokkr from the Call of Duty League. The team list was also supposed to include Vegas Falcons, but they reportedly backed out at the last second and were replaced by Mindfreak.

- OMiT Brooklyn

- Stallions
At the time of publishing this, Stallions had been booted down into the lower bracket by OMiT after a clean sweep, and Notorious, OMiT, LAG M8, and Rokkr had all won their first-round matches to enter the second stage.
This sixteen-team double-elimination event will run until tomorrow evening, and then you’ll have to wait just four days until the Call of Duty League Championship arrives.
