Post Malone will appear in Riyadh on July 10 to celebrate the opening of the Esports World Cup, the most valuable and ambitious event in history. The two-month-long showcase features a couple of dozen games and thousands of competitors, and it boasts a staggering prize pool worth $70 million.
This isn’t the first time that Post Malone has collaborated with a gaming brand, having recently partnered with Electronic Arts for an Apex Legends crossover. The performer is a prolific gamer and has spent time in the past streaming Apex, Warzone, and Hunt: Showdown to thousands of viewers.
‘ A Global Artist and True Gamer’
In a press release, the COO at the Esports World Cup Foundation, Mike McCabe, said:
Esports is becoming a global cultural force – where music, storytelling, and competition converge to create moments that are not just seen, but felt.
With Post Malone, a global artist and true gamer, opening the tournament, we continue to celebrate the power of music – a universal language that brings fans together and defines the cultural future of esports.
This news comes just one week after Cristiano Ronaldo, the legendary soccer player, revealed his ambassadorship with the Esports World Cup.
