Players who found Lies of P’s Overture DLC too challenging can rest easy, as the director has just confirmed that a difficulty reduction is on the way, along with various other changes.
Spotted by IGN, several players are complaining about Lies of P Overture’s intended difficulty, ‘Legendary Stalker’, across Steam reviews and Reddit. Players are concerned about enemy damage output, with regular mobs taking out massive chunks of health or outright defeating the player within a couple of hits. Some players have also raised concerns about the camera problems with some bosses.
Lies of P Overture is Getting a Difficulty Reduction
Fortunately, all the feedback has reached the developers, and they have already addressed the difficulty concerns in the Lies of P Overture Director’s letter. Director Ji Won Choi revealed that the developers have received a lot of feedback since the launch and are reviewing it carefully. Of all the issues highlighted in the feedback, Neowiz is paying close attention to the “combat experience”.
Ji Won Chi explained that the team has identified some areas that haven’t turned out as they were intended. Hence, they are working on various adjustments for Lies of P: Overture, including difficulty reduction. At the same time, as combat is “one of the most fundamental experiences in Lies of P,” the developers will have to undergo “meticulous work and thorough testing” before releasing any changes. Neowiz is currently reviewing all the specific details and the schedule for this patch.
In other news, Lies of P received new difficulty options and boss rush modes with the latest DLC. Also, the Overture expansion features a ‘freaky‘ zoo level.
