Shift Up has released a short demo for Stellar Blade on PC, giving prospective fans a look at what they can expect from the game when it releases on PC on June 11. The PC demo has proven to be a hit, pulling in tens of thousands of players and securing a review rating of ‘Very Positive’ on Valve’s storefront platform.
Last year, Stellar Blade was one of PlayStation’s standout titles, launching to a solid reception that stayed strong as the year unravelled. With collaborations and expansions aplenty, Shift Up kept the content pipeline flowing, and now, the game will be introduced to an entirely new audience on June 11.
Project Eve Returns
Stellar Blade is a solid game and one of my favourite titles of 2024. It’s a post-apocalyptic slasher that forces players into skirmishes against some fearsome bosses, all while controlling Project Eve, a synthetic warrior with incredible blade-based skills.
The game is borderline scandalous when it comes to Eve’s body model and outfits, but that’s a conversation for another day. All that matters is that Shift Up has added more than two dozen new outfits to usher in the PC launch of the game, and that’s what has existing fans most excited.
When Stellar Blade is released on PC, it’ll bring with it a wealth of improvements. From an unlocked frame rate to optimised graphics, and from ultrawide support to a 4K texture pack, Stellar Blade is likely to look and run better than ever on PC. I plan to purchase the game to give it a third run (and a fourth, with NG+).
Recently, Shift Up published a financial report that revealed (again) the existence of a Stellar Blade sequel. It was also suggested that the follow-up title could be with us as early as 2026.
