Summer Game Fest 2025 is quickly closing in. Hype is building for the event, and we’ve learned that gaming auteur Hideo Kojima is making a live, in-person appearance during the main showcase on June 6.
We don’t go too long without Hideo Kojima being in the headlines. Known for his creative vision across multiple award-winning franchises, Kojima is working on multiple projects right now—including Physint. We know he has games lined up after he passes away, and, more recently, we know he’s coming to Summer Game Fest 2025.
Summer Game Fest Appearance by Hideo Kojima Happening
The Summer Game Fest X account has announced that Hideo Kojima is appearing during the main presentation, which kicks off an epic schedule.
“Don’t miss it when Hideo Kojima takes the stage live at #SummerGameFest next Friday, June 6.”
It doesn’t specify what time he appears, though. This is presumably an easy promotional tactic to get people to tune in for longer. We also don’t know what he’s going to show us or why he’s there.
Logically, it’s to promote Death Stranding 2—which releases on June 26. There’s also a world where he reveals more of Physint or OD.
