Another Fortnite update has resulted in more content to enjoy, including the return of the Mandalorian Jetpack. We’ve got the details on how to get one.
Initially introduced in Chapter Two, Season Five, the Mandalorian Jetpack in Fortnite has been unvaulted for the final few weeks of the Star Wars-themed Galactic Battle mini-season.
The Jetpack isn’t an easy item to get your hands on, however, and requires a fair amount of luck.
How to Get The Mandalorian Jetpack

Currently, the only way to obtain the Mandalorian Jetpack is to find it in Chests. Unfortunately, there is no guaranteed place to grab one.
If you’re on the hunt for a Jetpack, head to locations on the map that have plenty of Chests to open. While these can often be overrun with enemies, there are plenty of locations that have a lot of Chests to loot and aren’t too busy with other players.
The plus side of heading to a location with a load of Chests and enemies to face is you maximize the chances of getting decent loot, as you can also claim items dropped by an enemy.
Once a certain threshold has been achieved by the community, the Supply Mandalorian northeast of Magic Mosses sells a Mandalorian Jetpack. However, Epic Games hasn’t made it clear what Alignment progress the community needs to achieve.
In the meantime, just carry on as usual, looting away to have a chance of securing a Mandalorian Jetpack, and tick away at your own Alignment challenges too. Every little helps.
How to Use The Mandalorian Jetpack
The Mandalorian Jetpack in Fortnite does not have to be selected on the weapon screen to use. Instead, activate the Jetpack at any time by double-pressing the jump button.
All Mandalorian Jetpacks are Epic rarity and have 100 durability, limiting the amount they can be used. Once the durability has run out, the Jetpack will disappear from your inventory and can no longer be used.
I highly recommend being careful with how you use the Jetpack and, if possible, try to save it for combat, as then you can earn progress towards the challenge for travelling distance with the Jetpack and hitting enemies while airborne.
You may find yourself an easy target while in the air, however, and personally I’m not a huge fan of the Jetpack in combat. If you’re the same, don’t bother hunting one down once you have completed the associated weekly quests.
