Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is getting a Horde Mode, and developer Focus Entertainment has released some new details about what players can expect.
In its April 2025 Community Update, Focus Entertainment talked about Patch 8 which will include the new mode. While full details of Horde Mode weren’t revealed, what was talked about were basic details on what the mode will be like.
“First of all, you will be able to play up to three players (or with 2 bots, just like in regular PvE) and you will get to fight waves of both Tyranids and Chaos,” the publisher said. “Difficulty will increase for each wave defeated, so you’ll have to prepare yourself accordingly to vaporize as many waves as you can.
“Also, your class and weapon levels will be based on your PvE levels.”
In addition to the new details about the mode, Focus gave players a first look at the mode’s map, which takes place in Kadaku. You can check that out below.

Lastly, while Horde Mode is going to be the biggest addition to the game with the upcoming Patch 8, the update will also include addition free and DLC content for players. That content includes a rebalancing of the Absolute difficulty, a Blood Angels cosmetic pack and a White Scars champions pack.
More features for Patch 8 along with a release date will be coming in the near future. Focus Entertainment teased when it would be but, like any cheeky publisher, hid it from the public for now.
