Fans have been eagerly awaiting the seemingly imminent release of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remaster, which will reportedly include all DLC. One source says they have it on good authority that the remaster will include both the revered expansion packs.
Oblivion Remaster Will Reportedly Include Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles
According to Lord Cognito of both the Iron Lords Podcast and the Defining Duke podcast, “all DLC” will be in the Oblivion Remaster. “I heard from a very good authority that all DLC is going to be included,” Lord Cognito said on the latest Defining Duke episode on Patreon. “I will stand on this one. All the DLCs will be included; you’re getting horse armor, Shivering [Isles], all that.”
So what will be included? The game’s first official expansion pack Knights of the Nine and the second official pack Shivering Isles will be the highlights. Knights of the Nine, which was originally developed as an “exclusive” quest for the eventual PS3 release of Oblivion, released in November 2006, with Shivering Isles following in March 2007. Both expansions were received well, with Shivering Isles in particular receiving a number of awards from games media outlets.
The Oblivion Remaster should also include a trove of smaller DLC packs, which features the fan favorite horse armor packs, and unique, explorable locations like Mehrune’s Razor and numerous character type-specific hideouts like the Wizard’s Tower and the Vile Lair.
Eagerly waiting players are still waiting for an official confirmation from Bethesda regarding the Oblivion Remaster, but an announcement is expected soon since the game’s release date and Xbox Game Pass status was leaked by Xbox Support recently.
