Blue Prince is a game that wasn’t known by many at one point, but loved by those who did. It topped many early GOTY lists, and now that reviews are in, its Metacritic score is cause for some serious eyebrow raising. As of April 2025, Blue Prince is the highest-rated game of the year ahead of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and Split Fiction.
Its mind-bending series of rooms and puzzles is cause for serious applause. It revolutionized the roguelike genre—like Balatro did in 2024—to create a masterpiece. I don’t blame you if you’re eager not to miss out, so let’s check its Game Pass and PS Plus status.
Can You Play Blue Prince on Xbox Game Pass?
Blue Prince is a day-one addition to Microsoft’s extensive Xbox Game Pass catalog.
Get ready to play Blue Prince if you have the correct Xbox Game Pass Membership. It’s an April Game Pass 2025 addition, and the Xbox Store game page quite clearly states: “Get Game Pass—Coming soon to Ultimate.”
As long as your subscription is active and ready to go, you can start tearing through rooms in a bid to find the elusive Room 46.
How to Play Blue Prince on Xbox Game Pass
You need an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription before you take out your magnifying glass and start hunting clues in Blue Prince.
Check out our tutorial if you’ve not done this before:
- Go to your Xbox account and validate your Game Pass status first.
- Check to see if you have an active membership.
- If you do, head to the Xbox Store.
- Search for Blue Prince.
- Click on the game’s main page.
- Once the option is available (either at launch or just before), download the title.
- Blue Prince is playable for free when it releases.
Can You Play Blue Prince on PlayStation Plus?
PlayStation users also get to play Blue Prince as a free launch title, thanks to PS Plus.
Blue Prince won’t remain a mystery for many due to its availability. The puzzle title is on Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus at launch.

How to Play Blue Prince on PS Plus
You need a valid PlayStation Plus Membership to play Blue Prince on a PS5 console.
I won’t insult your intelligence by giving out a whole new set of instructions. The process is almost identical on PlayStation as it is on Xbox. Check your PS Plus subscription is live, find Blue Prince on the PlayStation Store, download it when it’s available, and you can play it on April 10!
