Warzone Bootcamp is an excellent tool for re-learning the ropes on Verdansk in Season 3 before competing against serious competition, but here is everything you need to know about leaving the game mode after you pick up everything.
Raven Software incentivized players who had previously dropped Warzone to return by remastering the battle royale’s original map, Verdansk. The gamble ultimately paid off, as Call of Duty’s active player count on Steam surpassed 110,000, accounting for a whopping 200% increase.
For some players, Season 3 is their first return in months, if not years. The devs took several measures to make Verdansk feel like it did in 2021, including not changing the map and restoring the buy stations, vehicles, movement, and more to how they originally functioned. However, the battle royale has drastically changed since its first launch, making Warzone Bootcamp essential for returning players needing a refresher.
How to Leave Warzone Bootcamp

You can leave a Warzone Bootcamp match by either backing out of the game mode before the match starts or going into the options menu during a match and leaving.
Here are all of the steps required to leave Warzone Bootcamp.
- If you haven’t entered a match yet, back out of the menu by pressing B on Xbox, O On PlayStation, or the applicable PC key binding.
- Select Yes to leave the game mode.
- If you are already in a match, press Options on PlayStation, Guide on Xbox, or the applicable key binding on PC to access the Options menu.
- Then scroll down and select Leave Match.
As previously mentioned, Warzone Bootcamp doesn’t impact stats, so there is no punishment for leaving before a match starts or during it.

Warzone Bootcamp is a training mode with 44-player lobbies, including 12 humans and 32 bots.
Most of Verdansk is already cut off when a match starts, meaning rounds only take 15 minutes. Earning XP in Warzone Bootcamp is possible, but only at 50% of the standard XP rate.
Results don’t count toward your stats, so there is no harm in losing matches or leaving early. In addition to serving as practice, there are also three stages of missions for the game mode.
| Bootcamp Mission Groups | Rewards |
| Stage 1 | Peek a Book Sticker |
| Stage 2 | Jugg A Dead Weapon Charm |
| Stage 3 | Well-Traveled MCW Weapon Camo |
