Rocket Racing is a great game to play if you like Mario Kart and it is completely free. You just have to download Fortnite.

4. LEGO 2k Drive

LEGO’s very own racing game, LEGO 2k Drive, gives off Mario Kart vibes but is instead in the world of LEGOs. The game allows you to build your vehicles and more, racing across a plethora of unique tracks.

LEGO 2k Drive is the perfect fill-in for those looking for a game like Mario Kart.

3. Team Sonic Racing

Team Sonic Racing takes the idea of Mario Kart, but mixes it with the world of Sonic the Hedgehog. The game has had multiple titles, with its most recent release being back in 2019. While it has not been as successful as Mario Kart, it is still a great game.

Those who have played Team Sonic Racing know it’s one of the better games that are similar to Mario Kart.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is the most recent title in the Crash Bandicoot franchise. These games were first released in the 1990s and instantly became classics. While the gameplay might be a bit different than Mario Kart, it still has a lot of similar mechanics.

While there hasn’t been another title released since the first one came out in 1997, Diddy Kong Racing is probably the most similar style of game you will find when compared to Mario Kart. It is a shame that this infamous title never got a sequel, as many loved it and still do.

While Diddy Kong Racing is only available for the N64, it is easily one of the best racing games out there that rival Mario Kart.
