The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom may have just been released on Friday, but that hasn’t stopped speedrunners from attempting to beat the game in record time. And that’s apparently happened already as a speedrunner has beaten Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom in just 94 minutes.
A player known as gymnast86 posted his full run online on Friday morning. As far as how he completed the game in record time, he posted a follow-up video going through his route and other things he did. Most of the tricks he used for the game were new, gymnast86 says, because many that worked in Breath of the Wild appear to have been addressed by the developers.
Of course, as speedrunners continue to find different tricks in the game, the time is going to get shorter and shorter. But to be what appears to be the first to complete a speedrun of the game, it’s nothing short of impressive.
For what it’s worth, the current record for Breath of the Wild sits at 23 minutes and 42 seconds. That’s over an hour faster than the current Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom record…for now.
What do you make of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom being beaten in just 94 minutes already?
