Reputable Call of Duty leaker @TheMW2Ghost has claimed that XDefiant has a release date of October 28.
According to the leaker, there is an apparent launch event for October 28, which is what has led him to believe the release date of the game.
Whilst Insider Gaming cannot independently verify the release date of XDefiant, we have also been given information that suggests that Ubisoft San Francisco, the developers of XDefiant do indeed have a launch event on October 28, but the details of what the event entails are yet to be verified with us.
If the October 28 date is accurate, it would mean that the game would launch on a Saturday. Or maybe the game will be released on Friday, October 27, 2023, with Ubisoft celebrating with the launch event one day later.
Last week, it was reported that XDefiant will be released on October 17th by reputable Call of Duty leaker el_bobberto on Twitter, but it’s unclear why, or if, that release date has been delayed. It’s possible that Ubisoft opted to delay the release, once they realized the release would be in direct conflict with the beginning of Call of Duty’s ‘The Haunting’ event.
Last month, Ubisoft reported that XDefiant didn’t pass its submissions to Sony and Xbox, and as such the game was delayed.
“We are currently in the CM prep part of that process and will hopefully be submitting to 1st parties in a little less than 2 weeks. If that Passes cleanly, then we could be looking at a mid-to-end September release. There is however a likely scenario where we get a conditional Pass meaning we have to do a Day 1 patch with some final fixes to ensure compliance. If we do need to do a Day 1 patch, then that pushes our date out to early/mid-October”, said studio head Mark Rubin.
So whatever the case may be, it seems like the XDefiant release date is imminent. When do you think XDefiant will be released?
