Xbox Confirms Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 For Game Pass On Day One

The worst kept secret in gaming has been confirmed as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be coming to Xbox Game Pass. The announcement was made official via the Xbox Wire on Tuesday morning.

“We’re excited to confirm that Game Pass members will be able to jump into Call of Duty®: Black Ops 6 on day one with Game Pass,” Megan Spurr, senior community lead of Xbox Game Pass said.

Black Ops 6 marks the first game in the franchise to be added to the service since Microsoft completed its $69 billion purchase of Activision in October 2023. There was no mention of any other Call of Duty games coming to Game Pass. Also not mentioned was any changes to Xbox Game Pass pricing and/or tiers, which are expected to come with the series’ addition.

Along with the announcement, a new live action trailer was released for the game.

Xbox will be holding a Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct event on June 9 following its Xbox Games Showcase. That event is when fans are expected to get a full deep dive into what the latest game in the long-running franchise has to offer.

  • This is a W the conspiracy angle is what COD needs to make money and the edginess of a rumored 9/11 storyline would be money. This is the controversy that would sell. Hopefully they learn from this and go this route more the Alex Jones tinfoil hat route over the Vanguard route.

    • It would be better if they did a Epstein Island raid and you get to arrest all the crooks or shoot em down. That would really sell Black Ops.

  • I’m more wondering what the caveat is going to be with this coming to GamePass day 1. You guys mentioned in a previous article about Microsoft considering a pricing tier for Gamepass because of CoD. I wonder how much its going to be locked behind to get behind it. Will be very surprised if this ends up on the usual Gamepass
