WWE Superstar and current WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley opens up about the games she loved as a child. As with most 90s babies, she grew up loving the original Sony PlayStation and its massive successor, the PS2.
Recently, “The Eradicator” was featured on Stephanie McMahon’s “What’s Your Story?” podcast. During their discussion, the topic of video games came up, and Ripley reflected on the fun platformers she played as a kid, largely those seen as PlayStation mascots.
Rhea Ripley Names Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot Among Her Favorite Games
When asked what games Ripley loved as a child, Stephanie McMahon joked that she sticks with what she knows: the original Atari and the Nintendo Entertainment System. For Ripley, there’s a two-decade divide, but she also sticks to what she knows and enjoyed the Sony PlayStation 1 and PlayStation 2. Specifically, she named Spyro the Dragon, Ratchet & Clank, and Crash Bandicoot as her favorites.
“I stick to what I know. Yeah. I loved my PlayStation 1. Then I got a PlayStation 2, and I only played Crash Bandicoot and Spyro. I was like, ‘They’re my games.’ Ratchet & Clank, that was another one… I knew everything, I memorized it. I was like, ‘I gotta turn left here, right here.’ I was obsessed.”
Rhea Ripley has, of course, been featured in several WWE video games. She was even on the cover of WWE 2K24’s Deluxe Edition alongside Bianca Belair. WWE 2K26 is currently available on all modern platforms and PC.
That game recently made headlines because of the sudden addition of Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick as a playable member of the WWE roster. Learn more about that story here.
