When is The War Within Coming Out?
Thanks to the most recent trailer for World of Warcraft: The War Within, shown during Xbox Games Showcase, we know the official release date is August 26.
I don’t know about you, but I was expecting a release sometime during the fall. It’s nice to see a late summer release, as it gives us something to play until the busy September we’ve got in store!

What’s New in The War Within?
We’ll see plenty of new content to suck up your already-limited spare time when World of Warcraft: The War Within launches later this year. Here are the most notable new features:
- Delves: Players can explore underground instances solo or with up to four other players, including an NPC companion, to earn high-tier loot and tackle bosses.
- Warbands: If you’re an an altaholic, you can now expand your alt system with account-wide progression, including achievements and collections, alongside a new character select screen.
- Hero Talents: Increase your overall power level with Hero Talents for each class specialization in the game.
- Earthen: A new playable race of titan-forged Dwarves made of living stone imbued with magic from deep within Azeroth itself!
