As long-time fans of the franchise, we can count on a brand-new Call of Duty launching annually, usually around the end of the year before the holiday break. But sometimes, keeping track of so many new and upcoming releases is tough. So, what’s the newest Call of Duty?
What is the Most Recent Call of Duty?
If we’re talking about the most recent currently available Call of Duty, then it’s the best-selling Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. It’s come a long way since launch. Despite the poor reception to the campaign, which is still as short as ever, the multiplayer aspect remains a ton of fun. I mean, seriously, you can play as Snoop Dogg!
Of course, you can find an active community on most Call of Duty games, including some old titles, such as Call of Duty: World at War. But if you don’t want to queue or hunt down an active server, then, without a doubt, the best place to play Call of Duty is Warzone!

What’s the Next Upcoming Call of Duty Game?
Following a mess of teasers and cryptic messages from the studio, we know that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is coming this year. We’ve received word that it’ll launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 25.
There’s a chance the first-person shooter will launch on last-gen systems—PlayStation 4 and Xbox One—but there’s no telling just yet. Many developers and publishers recently started foregoing these systems in favor of future tech.
Either way, we can’t wait to see more of the Black Ops 6 gameplay, including multiplayer and zombies modes!
