Blades of Fire launches soon. Here is everything you need to know about the release date and start times for regions worldwide.
MercurySteam is known for its work co-developing the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Series, and Metroid Dread was the studio’s most recent project. Metroid Dread was widely regarded as one of the best games of 2021 and won the Game Award for Best Action/Adventure Game.
Dread has sold over three million copies, making it the best-selling Metroid game. Instead of going back to the well and developing a sequel, MercurySteam’s next game is Blades of Fire, a third-person action-adventure game featuring combat resembling God of War.
Blades of Fire Release Date

Blades of Fire officially releases worldwide on May 22 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The standard edition of the game costs $59.99, but there is a 10% discount if you pre-order before the official release date. And although the game is available on PC, players can only purchase it on the Epic Games Store, as it will not be on Steam.
Blades of Fire follows Aran de Lira on his quest to kill Queen Neera after she cast a spell that turns steel into stone. It’s up to Aran to forge new weapons and fight the Queen’s army of abominations.
The game features even different weapon families and over 30 unique Forge Scrolls. How you forge a weapon contributes to its weight, length, durability, penetration, and edge quality.
You will have to use every weapon at your disposal, as there are over 50 enemy types, and the combat system allows you to attack specific body parts of each foe. Each enemy has a unique weakness that specific weapons can exploit. And since weapons can break, collecting resources and forging play a massive role in your success.
