If you were one of the lucky few—or many, considering they were handing out beta keys like candy—then you’re likely pretty excited about the Arena Breakout Infinite release date, right? It plays like a free-to-play shooter but with a lot more complexity that should entice casual players from Escape From Tarkov. Being F2P certainly helps, too. So, when’s it coming out?

When is the Arena Breakout Infinite Release Date?

As of right now, we don’t know the official release date for Arena Breakout Infinite. The studio is still working through the closed beta period, which they said they’ll extend. It’ll likely run until some point this week, around May 22. As for an actual release date for the full version of the game, no one knows just yet.

Considering how well-optimized the beta experience felt from a gameplay perspective, I don’t imagine it’ll take long to iron out any bugs and tweak gameplay mechanics and loadouts. Developer Morefun Studios genuinely wants to compete with many of the big-name extraction shooters, namely Escape From Tarkov, and they’re seemingly willing to put in the work.

Is Arena Breakout Infinite Like Escape From Tarkov?

In many ways, yeah, Arena Breakout Infinite is quite similar to Escape From Tarkov. It’s an extraction shooter, albeit with a bit more casual playstyle, that heavily focuses on action and loot, like the latter.

Straight off the bat, Arena Breakout Infinite introduces a tutorial that guides you through many of the key systems, including how to properly prepare for a raid with the inventory and loadout mechanics. It’s a useful tooltip that should help many new players find their footing.

Secondly, the overall combat feels more fluid and action-oriented. Whereas Escape From Tarkov is more realistic and hardcore, which can alienate many first-person shooter fans who want something more accessible.

I think both will have their place in the gaming sphere. Arena Breakout Infinite, being free-to-play and casual-friendly, will entice newcomers to the extraction shooter genre. Escape From Tarkov, on the other hand, caters to more hardcore players who enjoy the complexity and realism.
