Warzone is set for a big glow-up at the end of 2026, as not only is a new Resurgence map on the agenda, but it’s been confirmed that a big battle royale map is coming, too.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 keeps the CoD annual releases going. It’s promising a lot, but whilst this is happening, the free-to-play Warzone still has a lot of fans, even if it has dipped since the resurrection of Verdansk.
We’ve learned so much about the MW4, including the first-ever Warzone beta test, but one detail that’s gone under the radar is the presence of a new giant map alongside Zodiac.
New Warzone ‘Big Map’ Confirmed
Shortly after the MW4 beta news dropped, social media became the usual hotbed of activity, with every content creator under the sun posting about the content.
However, the official Call of Duty account didn’t keep quiet either.

As shown by CharlieIntel, when one X user asked ‘New big map coming?’ with a praying hands emoji, the official account replied:
“Yes!”
This isn’t to be confused with Zodiac, which is the new Resurgence map. Zodiac is for smaller game modes, whereas the big map will be for proper Warzone battle royale.
We don’t know much more than this for now, but it does mean that the Warzone community is in for a double helping of new maps this year.
