Huge Fallout Expansion in 2027 Adds Major Regions To The TTRPG

Fallout’s universe is set to expand next year with the arrival of three iconic and major regions in Fallout: The Roleplaying Game. The TTRPG from Modiphius has been a hit with fans since its launch many months ago, and it has continued to expand since it dropped. There’s more on the immediate horizon, but further in 2027 sits an overhaul that introduces some huge locations to the collection.

From 2027, Fallout’s TTRPG will take players to The Capital Wasteland, the Commonwealth, and Appalachia, touching on the locations frequented in some of the most beloved games in the series thus far.

Fallout TTRPG Expansion Goes Wild

Fallout: The Roleplaying Game will be expanded immeasurably over the coming months, but the most exciting upgrade comes in the form of a tri-location road trip. Modiphius, the developer behind the TTRPG, revealed that three iconic locations are coming to the game.

First, there’s The Capital Wasteland, which incorporates Washington, D.C., and was the setting for Fallout 3, arguably the best-received Fallout game ever made.

Then, you’ve got The Commonwealth, which is comprised of Boston and the surrounding area, and served as the foundation in Fallout 4, 2015’s best-selling evolution of the post-apocalyptic universe.

Finally, there’s Appalachia, the region that has been explored over the last eight years in Fallout 76, the post-apocalyptic MMORPG that adopted a live-service model and has stayed alive since 2018.

With this, and with the New Vegas and New California components incoming, and with fresh origin stories and stacks more perks, traits, and rulesets, players enjoying the Fallout TTRPG will have more opportunities than ever before to craft a universe-bending, location-spanning campaign.
