Warzone Season 5 Update Opens The Stadium to Reveal a Secret Lurking Within

The incoming Season 5 update for Warzone is set to bust open Verdansk’s Stadium POI after several weeks of silence. It has been revealed that a weapon of mass destruction is hiding inside, which could potentially be the kick-off point for a map-changing event as Black Ops 7 approaches.

In the second week of Season 5, a special Warzone mode will be started that’ll see players fight exclusively in and around the Stadium. This will offer you the best possible look at what lurks within.

Warzone Season 5 Blasts Open the Stadium

In a blog post published on the Call of Duty site, the superweapon hidden inside Verdansk’s Stadium was detailed. It’s not exactly clear what it is, but it’s capable of incredible destruction, which could suggest that a monumental map change is on the horizon.

In the second week of Season 5, Stadium Resurgence LTM will start, throwing 36 players into short matches based in the Stadium itself, now open to the elements.

Warzone players will also be able to experience Deadline, a new LTM coming mid-season that sees players racking up points for doing almost anything in the game. As each circle closes, the lowest-scoring squads will be eliminated, and there are unlimited respawns while the event is live.

Solos Being Tested Further in Season 5

Recent tests performed by Activision’s teams have found that the Casual Solos rotation is enjoyed much more than the Core Solos rotation. The tests revealed that Casual Solos is receiving three times the number of daily players as Core Solos.

Going forward, both Casual and Core playlists will remain, but updates will drop in the earliest days of the Season 5 update. After 48 hours, Casual Solos will be available in all regions, while Core Solos will be restricted to just North America and Europe.

Season 5 Launches August 7

Along with this content, you can also expect four new weapons:

  • PML 5.56 LMG
  • ABR A1 Assault Rifle (AUG)
  • Boxing Gloves (Melee)
  • Gravemark .357 Revolver (Pistol)

The usual updates are being made to Warzone Ranked, and a stack of new rewards is being prepared for players diving in when Season 5 launches on August 7.

There’s a new contract, Satellite Hijack, and more to come when the Season 5 Reloaded update drops.
