Strikerz and XTEN Limited have set a PC release window for their free-to-play soccer game, UFL, aiming for late this year. CEO Eugene Nashilov told media on Monday that the launch will come in November or December, though no exact date has been confirmed.
“Most likely it’s going to happen in November, but I’m not being too specific right now because it’s not yet ready,” Nashilov said. “We’re working on it, and we’re finalizing it.”
The game’s PC tech tests earlier this year were successful, according to Nashilov, but a few lingering technical issues still need ironing out before players can hit the pitch. He added that they know the state the game needs to be in before it can launch, and they won’t rush anything to get it out.
When it does come to PC, one notable limitation for the game will be the lack of cross-platform play between PC and consoles. After being asked about it during the media call, Nashilov said that the team doesn’t want to implement for reasons given in the past. However, if the PC player numbers are what they expect and its needed to get them into more games, it’s something they have the ability to do.
More details on the game’s PC release will come as the window gets closer.
