Ubisoft Could be Coming Back to Steam as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Gets Added to its Database

Github user YoobieRE has found evidence to suggest that Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla could be coming to Steam in the near future.

The source code for the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Ubisoft Connect page contains several lines on a recent background update, including the word Steam. “Internal Dev/QC – Assassin’s Creed Valhalla [STEAM]” reads the line.

The update could suggest that Ubisoft is planning to bring the title and possibly others back to Steam in the near future.

When asked for comment on if Ubisoft is planning to add Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to Steam, Ubisoft responded to Insider Gaming “we don’t comment on rumors and speculation”.

Fan speculation however has theorized on Reddit that the cause for the change could be that Ubisoft wants to expose its games to a wider PC audience.

The update could also suggest that the next Assassin’s Creed title in the franchise, Mirage, could also be coming to steam. Ubisoft is currently developing six individual Assassin’s Creed titles; Mirage, Red, Hexe, Jade, Invictus, and Nexus.
