In a new post on Twitter, THQ Nordic announced that its annual digital showcase will arrive on August 2, 2024, and fans can tune in at 12 PM PDT.
THQ Nordic confirmed that Titan Quest 2 and the Gothic 1 Remake will both receive new updates during the showcase. Separately, there will also be “new announcements,” suggesting the publisher could also reveal new projects.
THQ Nordic didn’t offer many details about the upcoming showcase. But in 2023, the event ran about half an hour long. Some of the highlights included major reveals for TMNT The Last Ronin and Alone in the Dark. It also included a new trailer for South Park Snow Day.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have seen a major comeback in both film and gaming, from Mutant Mayhem to Shredder’s Revenge. The IP recently boasted a Fortnite crossover. Apple Arcade’s Splintered Fate recently got a July release window, coming to the Nintendo Switch.
There’s a lot of hype for The Last Ronin, even surrounding a potential movie. So, fans will definitely hope for an update on the game in the next THQ Nordic showcase. It would be an ideal time to finally announce a release window.
After Gothic 2 Complete Classic released on the Nintendo Switch, there may also be renewed interest in the Gothic 1 Remake. Gothic is a staple from the early thousands, and certainly deserves to be revisited.
After Embracer Group recently announced plans to split into multiple companies, THQ Nordic ended up within Coffee Stain & Friends. It will operate in the Premium segment.
