The Lift Coming To PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X|S

Good news for console fans, as The Lift is officially coming to both the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X|S. In this eerie, narrative experience, you’ll be doing your best work as a handyman while renovating a mysterious, abandoned research facility.

The official news comes from the Triple I Initiative 2026, with the gaming showcase’s third iteration featuring 40 games, with eight exclusive world premieres.

Check out the trailer below:

The Lift Coming To Consoles

It’s easy to call The Lift a handyman simulator, but the experience runs far deeper than that. The developers boast a story-driven experience, where you’ll be exploring a highly interactive world inspired by Soviet science fiction. Figure out what mysterious incident took place in this abandoned facility, and understand why it’s long been abandoned.

That being said, the handyman gameplay is at the core of The Lift, though it’s undergone a surreal twist. Instead of putting up shelves and painting walls, you’ll be vacuuming reality-distorting anomalies and collecting fuel from robotic bees. As if that wasn’t crazy enough, try repairing a sentient reactor!

There’s a lot to uncover in The Lift, and after its original reveal for PC, it’s now officially coming to consoles, with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S it’s future homes. No release date has been confirmed just yet, but the confirmation of its arrival is exciting enough as is.
