The open beta for The Finals has ended, and Embark Studios is touting the beta’s success.
According to a post made on social media on Monday morning, The Finals open beta saw 7.5 million players join the game at some point.
“An unforgettable week for us — a whopping 7.5 MILLION contestants entered the arena,” the studio posted. “Now it’s time for us to hunker down and get back to work on all the fixes and improvements you helped us identify.”
According to Steam Charts, the game saw a peak of 264,874 concurrent players on the platform during the beta. Though no numbers are available for console, it should be assumed that the peak numbers were higher on those platforms.

It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows during the open beta for The Finals and Embark Studios. The company did face backlash for admitting to using AI for voiceovers in the game.
The Finals is a free-to-play first-person shooter that will be available on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 when it fully releases.
