The Division 3 Confirmed By Ubisoft

The Division 3 has been confirmed to be in development. Ubisoft revealed the news during an announcement about Julian Gerighty being appointed the executive producer for The Division brand.

His move back over to The Division will come after Star Wars Outlaws, the game he is serving as Creative Directory on, releases.

“Now, he’s setting his sights on Tom Clancy’s The Division 3, as well as the plethora of other projects set in The Division universe, including the mobile game Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence, and the survival-action shooter Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland,” Ubisoft said in the announcement.

“A core focus of Gerighty’s is to build a team for Tom Clancy’s The Division 3, which will be led by Massive Entertainment, while making sure Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 remains well supported. Outside of that, his attention will be on a solidification of brand identity.”

Gerighty added: “We may have over 40 million players, but The Division is still in its early years as a franchise. There are so many incredible stories to tell, places to explore and people to protect. “

While it’s not much, the confirmation that The Division 3 is in the works is something fans of the franchise have to be happy to know. That said, the game is still likely a few years away based on average development timelines for AAA titles.
