Lego Island Is Getting A Remake That You Can’t Play

From the developer who brought you the remake of The Simpsons Hit & Run comes another remake that you’ll never be able to play: Lego Island.

Youtuber and developer Reubs has decided to remake the game in Unreal Engine 5, giving it modern visuals and a more “realistic” look.

First released in 1997 for PC, Lego Island is an open-world game where you have the option to play as one of five characters: pizzeria owners Mama and Papa Brickolini, their adopted son Pepper Roni, or police officers Laura and Nick Brick.

The game allows you to explore the island in your own way, completing various missions while also looking for secrets on the island. The game was a success back in the late 1990s and continued to have a following as the years went on.

You can check out the first episode of his Remaking Lego Island series below. The first episode focuses on the recreation of the island itself as well as giving players a tutorial on the controls.
