The Day Before Set To Receive (Late) Gameplay Footage

The Day Before is one of the most mysterious titles in gaming at the moment. It’s the second-most highly anticipated game on Steam behind Hogwarts Legacy, and it has been floating around for years in various circles, but so little is really known about it.

Up until now, fans eagerly awaiting the release of the game have never actually seen a true representation of the in-game offering from The Day Before. To answer that somewhat strange notion, developer FNTASTIC has promised that it will drop a ‘raw gameplay video’ this month, despite there being just six weeks until the game is set to launch.

Is The Day Before Even Real?

There were many jokes circulating that suggested that The Day Before would never materialise as a ‘real game’. Last year, development teams from FNTASTIC and Mytona announced that a hefty – and hopefully final – delay would be put in place, with teams moving the development of the project itself from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5.

Of course, the first thing that many fans did was to Google how difficult such a task would be, and it turns out, it wasn’t outside of the realms of possibility that the team could perform that change within the window that they’d set.

Regardless, this open-world MMO that looks like the lovechild between Ubisoft’s The Division and Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us is seemingly too good to be true. It’s a visual masterpiece and, gameplay-wise, it ticks almost every box that fans of the action survival genre look for in a new release.

And with that being said, none of those fans have ever seen a true-to-life representation of what The Day Before will look like when it ultimately releases on March 1st, 2023. There’s still quite a bit of concern regarding the sheer nature of the developers themselves. To this day, neither FNTASTIC nor Mytona has produced anything that comes close to The Day Before, but that’s not an honest indicator that the game is fake, right?

Here’s what the developers said regarding their promise:

This month, we will be releasing raw gameplay footage, as per the numerous requests from our community. This footage will showcase a majority of the features and gameplay elements … and will provide a clear glimpse into the current state of development for The Day Before.

Let’s wait and see what happens when the developers drop their gameplay segment later this month.
