The Conjuring: Unspoken Might Be Scarier Than Movies, Says Netflix
The upcoming game, The Conjuring: Unspoken by Netflix, will allow players to step into the shoes of Francesca Noakes, a demonologist exploring the Red Lion Inn in search of clues. Players will have access to various tools, including an electromagnetic field reader, an infrared camera, and a spirit box. The main screen displays the virtual environment, while players use their smartphones as controllers for these tools. For instance, players can use the infrared camera to provide a thermal overlay of the environment they are examining.
The blog post states that “The Conjuring: Unspoken might actually be scarier than the movies because you’re an active participant.” Players will experience the strange occurrences the Cooper family goes through, including dolls going missing, the daughter hearing her deceased mom whisper, and a ballerina music box playing by itself. The final goal will be to save the Cooper Family from the “phantasmal grip of the grief-feeding demon Vinea and Florrie, a ghost out of English folklore.”
