Top Esports (TES) defeated Invictus Gaming (IG) 3-1 in the LPL Regional Finals and qualified for the League of Legends World Championship.
This is much to the dismay of some LPL fans, as TES has lost all nine of its series against LCK teams in their last three international appearances.
TES is now the 12th team to qualify for this year’s event, and the third Chinese team alongside Bilibili Gaming (BLG) and LPL champions Anyone’s Legend.
However, IG and Kang ‘TheShy’ Seung-lok still have one more chance at Worlds qualification, as they’ll face the winner of JD Gaming and Team WE.
LoL Worlds Qualified Teams
Of the 20 total teams at this year’s Worlds, 12 have qualified, with most already securing their seeding.

The LCK Playoffs have already concluded with Gen.G claiming the Korean title once again.
Two-time MSI champions Gen.G are still searching for their first LoL Worlds trophy, yet are the early tournament favourites, with Polymarket users giving them a 37% chance.
Meanhwile, the LEC Season Finals will take place this weekend to decide the final seeding and whether Movistar KOI or Natus Vincere will claim the region’s last slot.
And the Americas need to decide all of their representatives with both the CBLoL and LCS playoffs ongoing.
Additionally, four of the eventual 20 teams will have to compete through the Play-Ins with only one team advancing to the Main Event with the top seeds.
