A brand-new Sports title has finally arrived for the latest Nintendo console, and it brings some new sports to try out.
The previous addition to the Sports Simulation series for Nintendo was released in 2022 and allowed players to mess around with eight sports: volleyball, badminton, ten-pin bowling, golf, football (soccer), chambara, tennis, and basketball. Now, let’s see what the latest installment has in store for us.
New Switch Sports Resort Releases in October 2026
The upcoming title Switch Sports Resort features 12 new sports, including boxing, table tennis, archery, tennis, volleyball, bowling, basketball, golf, thumb wrestling, skateboarding, power cruising, prop plane, and jump rope. The upcoming title, Nintendo Switch Sports Resorts, will release exclusively for the Switch 2 on October 22, 2026, and pre-orders begin later today. Players were also showcased in thumb-wrestling.
The original Switch Sports title has been a staple for every player who purchased the previous console, and it is a must-buy for the newly released Switch 2. This series encourages players to use the Joy-Con more innovatively, involving movement and swinging rather than just pressing buttons. It will be exciting to see the improvements over the previous titles, both visually and in gameplay mechanics.
