According to the Nintendo eShop listing of Super Meat Boy 3D, the game is scheduled to release at the end of March 2026.
Team Meat revealed Super Meat Boy 3D during the Xbox Games Showcase last year, confirming the title would release in 2026 for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. We also received a brand-new trailer that showcased fresh 3D-perspective gameplay, along with new stages, obstacles, and more. Now, it seems players will be able to play it by the end of this month.
Super Meat Boy 3D Releases on the Last Day of March 2026
If you head over to the Nintendo eShop right now, you will see that Super Meat Boy 3D lists a release date, seemingly March 31, 2026. Now, there is some speculation that this could be a placeholder for the game, as it is the last day of March. However, there’s another side to the story, where players think that the game’s release date might have been accidentally revealed ahead of the official announcement at the Future Games Show later today.
In Super Meat Boy 3D, you get to play as an animated cube of meat, who is trying to save his girlfriend, who is made of bandages from “an evil fetus in a jar wearing a tux.” The game features the old-school difficulty of retro titles, where you get to indulge in “tough-as-nails precision platforming action.” You will explore forests that could be on fire, dumps filled with the waste of mankind, and high-tech forges that are responsible for the traps that kill Meat Boy regularly.
