Geoff Keighley has revealed that the final announcement of Summer Games Fest will be a single-player narrative experience. He announced this on social media, thanking players for their feedback.
This follows the backlash to the final announcement that the 2025 Game Awards would be Highguard. A live service multiplayer game. Of course, Highguard lasted less than 2 months as an active game before being taken offline.
Summer Games Fest Surprises Are Expected
Summer Games Fest will feature plenty of surprises. However, there are certain things known about the show. For example, Paramount Gaming was recently formed, and that studio’s debut game will be shown. Additionally, Star Wars Zero Company will be featured. A gameplay trailer for that title will be shown.
This is the time of year when games take center stage. Sony recently held its PlayStation State of Play presentation. Wolverine was heavily featured, showcasing its blood-filled gameplay. A God of War game featuring Laufey, Kratos’ wife. Check out everything announced as part of that showcase here.
