After being rated in Korea back in late November, it appears the Street Fighter 6 release date has been leaked a bit earlier than expected.
A keen-eyed Twitter user noted an update on the PlayStation Store seems to confirm that Street Fighter 6 will be launching on June 2, 2023. In addition to the release date, the store posting gave some insight into the various versions of the game that’ll be available.
The Standard Edition of Street Fighter 6 gives players a copy of the game for PS4 and PS5, “Outfit 1 Color 10 for 6 characters”, and special tiles and stickers. The Deluxe Edition includes everything from the Standard Edition as well as the Year 1 Character Pass. Lastly the Ultimate Edition of the game includes everything mentioned except for the Year 1 Character Pass. In its place is the Year 1 Ultimate Pass.
When it launches, Street Fighter 6 will include a brand new “World Tour” mode that sees you create a character, travel an open-world environment, and become the best fighter possible. Also in the game is the “Fighting Ground” mode that sees players have a more traditional Street Fighter experience.
Currently, Capcom is holding registration for an upcoming open beta that will take place from December 16-19. The beta will feature crossplay on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. It’ll include ranked matches, casual matches, battle hub matches, open tournaments, exteme battles, and a training mode.
