Starfield “is coming to PS5”. That according to known leaker Nate The Hate, who made the comment in a reply on social media this week.
With Microsoft continuing to release first-party games on other platforms like PS5 and PC, a question was posed about what’s going on with Starfield on the system.
“Starfield is coming to PS5 & intent should be announced this year,” he said. “It’s just a matter of when will the announcement happen.”
More Xbox games coming to PlayStation, including Starfield, shouldn’t be seen as a surprise to anyone. In the latest United States sales data for April 2025, it was revealed that the top two best-selling titles of the month—The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered and Forza Horizon 5—were both Microsoft-published games. Even Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which also launched on PS5 in April, finished 6th for the month. In fact, four of the top seven games for the month were from Microsoft.

Rumors of Starfield coming to PS5 have been circulating for well over a year at this point. A PlayStation logo was even spotted on the Starfield Creation Club mod website, leading more credibility to the rumors.
With the upcoming Summer Game Fest and Xbox Games Showcase, it could be getting close to the time an announcement on the game’s release on PS5 will happen. Until it becomes official, however, continue to take the claims with a grain of salt.
