Stardew Valley Hits All-Time Player Count Eight Years After Release

Stardew Valley has been out for eight years, but it hasn’t stopped people from being excited about the game. After the game’s 1.6 update was released this week, Stardew Valley has hit an all-time player count on Steam.

As of writing, the game hit a peak of 146,159 players on Steam. That’s up 51,280 from the previous high of 94,879 set back in January 2021.

Stardew Valley’s 1.6 update added a number of new features to the game including a new major festival, two new mini festivals, a new end-game skill system, the ability to play with up to eight people on PC, a new farm type, new crops, a new turtle pet, and a lot more.
