Star Wars: Galactic Racer has burst onto the scene and has a new approach to the racing genre, with run-based content focused on individual Tours, which means you need to get used to the new mechanic.
The Fuse Games title set in a galaxy far, far away puts players in control of various speeder types, and the full-throttle racing of Star Wars: Galactic Racer is sure to capture players’ attention.
If you’re unsure about the Tour system in Galactic Racer and how runs-based racing works, Insider Gaming has all the details.
What Are Tours in Star Wars: Galactic Racing?

Tours in Star Wars: Galactic Racing are the main aspect of the runs-based racing in the game, with each Tour marking the start of a new journey.
In campaign, League Entry Tokens are required to enter a Tour, and are lost if you crash out too many times or fail to finish in the top three of an Eliminator. Once you’re out of League Tokens, your Tour is over, and you need to start again.
Along the way, you’ll earn Credits, Tuning Points, Kit Points, Racer Styles, and Favors that can be used to unlock new Abilities or upgrade your vehicles, giving you a stronger platform to start with when you begin your next Tour.
After each Tour event, you’ll receive rewards, including Credits, to spend on new Parts and Abilities, Parts, which provide an array of effects, Tuning Points, to upgrade certain aspects of your build, and Abilities, which provide particularly useful benefits.
Any Parts will be lost at the end of the Tour, alongside vehicle upgrades and abilities selected during your progression, but the end of each Tour also provides the opportunity to utilize permanent upgrades.
How Many Tours in Star Wars: Galactic Racing
There is an unlimited number of Tours in Star Wars: Galactic Racing, with the precise line-up reshuffling at the start of every new Tour.
While the planetary order is fixed, the events of a Tour are randomized, so, every time you start a Tour, there’s a fresh slew of events to set your eyes on and major decisions to be made.
Tours are completed by either making it all the way through successfully or by being eliminated. If the latter occurs, you’ll need to start again.
The Tour system is applied in the same fashion across multiplayer events, albeit with a shorter overall length, and you won’t be able to use Tuning Points afterward to permanently upgrade your vehicle, and, instead, it’s a clean slate at the start of every Tour.
