The Splitgate 2 Alpha Test is behind 1047 Games, and it’s time for the Open Beta. The player pool is about to welcome many new swimmers, and the beta reveal trailer promises many guns, modes, and infinite maps.
The first Splitgate had a lot of promise when it debuted. It garnered a big following in its formative weeks, but the player count quickly dropped off. 1047 Games is trying again with a refreshed and revamped Splitgate 2. It’s already undergone a strenuous Alpha Testing period.
But the Open Beta is where it gets real. This is a portal to a new world, and more players get to experience the highs, lows and changes in Splitgate 2 next month.
Splitgate 2 Free Open Beta Releases May 22
Splitgate 2‘s Open Beta teaser trailer is short, sweet, and swift. Alongside its May 22 launch date, a brief video whisks us through everything we can expect.
The Open Beta has over 25 weapons, 10+ game modes, and 15+ maps Infinite Maps!
We’re still not sure what is meant by Infinite Maps, but we’re excited to find out. The action looks chaotic, like we became accustomed to in the first entry. As it’s an open beta, you won’t need to sign up for it.
Be ready for May 22, and you can start playing.
