Jim Ryan has once again assured PlayStation players that the upcoming Spider-Man 2 with be a PS5 exclusive.
Speaking to Japanese outlet Famitsu in a new interview, Ryan said that Insomniac Games has made “no compromises” when it comes to Spider-Man 2.
Translated from Famitsu, Ryan continued, “We ask them [Insomniac] to focus on maximizing the functions of the PS5 and creating their best work. As a result, we’ve received feedback from game fans that it looks like they’ll be able to enjoy really beautiful visuals and a wonderful experience.”
Earlier this month, Jon Paquette, Narrative Director at Insomniac said that the team was ” really working hard to try and make sure this is the best game we ever made and we can’t wait to share it with y’all”.
Not much else is really known about Spider-Man 2. In September 2021, the game was revealed to the world and revealed that Venom will be a villain in the game. Tony Todd, the voice actor of Venom revealed earlier this year that the game is likely to release in September.
“Looks like September! Massive publicity coming in August. Commercials start dropping in August so I’m told. Hold on to your … and hold your breath! Gonna be necessary”, he said. Insider Gaming has also heard from its media sources that Sony has purchased a lot of media-related advertising for September for Spider-Man 2 (and a “secret” game in October).
It’s expected that more on Spider-Man 2 will be revealed at the next PlayStation Showcase, which is scheduled to take place on May 24, 2023.

If they wanted no compromises they would make it PC and directstorage exclusive.
This is silly.
