Arma 3 has been around for a long time – ten years, to be precise. It has proven repeatedly that it has staying power and the ability to remain relevant, though – on Steam, it enjoys a relatively high peak player count month-on-month even today.
Recently, publisher Bohemia Interactive revealed that the Arma 3 ecosystem is far from dead – it’s flourishing. With an all-new trailer and a promise of great things to come, Bohemia lifted the lid on Spearhead 1944, an intense and brand-new ‘Creator DLC’ coming to Arma 3 in the near future.
Spearhead 1944 is Coming
With an exciting new trailer, the latest Creator DLC was revealed in full, with Bohemia Interactive stating it’s COMING SOON. There’s no indication of a full release date, but fans are already chomping at the bit to get stuck into this WWII-themed expansion, which has been painstakingly created by third-party developer Heavy Ordnance Works over a series of years.
This isn’t the first Creator DLC to surface in Arma 3, but it has been a while since anything major dropped:
- Cold War Germany (2019)
- S.O.G. Prairie Fire (2021)
- Iron Curtain (2021)
- Western Sahara (2021)
