Following six delays, Insider Gaming has learned that Skull and Bones has finally got a release date of February 16, 2024.
The information follows an official announcement from Ubisoft in October that the game has a release window for set for Q4 FY23-24. Last week, Darryl Long, who will be moving to Toronto to become Managing Director confirmed that the game will ship before the end of the fiscal year.
Pre-orders for the game are currently live on the Ubisoft Store priced at £49.99, but Insider Gaming understands that Ubisoft also plans to release a Premium version of the game. Although we’ve been unable to pinpoint the exact contents of the premium edition, apart from the already revealed cosmetics, it’s understood that the players will be able to play the game on February 13, 2024, with three days of early access.
It’s understood that the new Premium Edition will set players back another £15-£20 / $15-$20.
Details on when the game’s new release date will be announced are unclear, but sources suggest due to the nature of the obtained information that it’s likely to be in the next couple of weeks, possibly at The Game Awards.
The game, which is currently under the codename ‘Project XA’ has been under extensive playtests as of late, with the developers having its latest test last week.
Skull and Bones was originally planned for a 2018 release before being delayed no less than six times. At one point, the game even was being developed with a “new vision” in mind from the studio at Ubisoft Singapore.
Skull and Bones will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on February 16, 2024.
Editor’s Note: We had 2023 as the release year, the article has been fixed with the proper date.

That was difficult ?
Sure it is. This game will never release, and if it does it’ll be a flop. Ubisoft used to be an incredible publisher of exciting titles, but those days are long gone.
Lol…. think you’re seriously wrong this time buddy. It will be official soon and btw… the game has to release by terms with the Singaporean govt.
