Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree’s game size and pre-load details have seemingly been revealed.
According to a post by a prominent gaming news source, PlayStation Game Size, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree will take up more than 16.502 GB on your console and PC to run. This post matches our earlier report on the game size, which stated players would need more than 61GB of free space on their devices to run the DLC plus the game.
According to the post, Shadow of Erdtree’s pre-load date has been set as June 19, 2 days ahead of the June 21 release.
Regarding the Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree is FromSoftware’s largest expansion to date. The DLC includes a brand new story set in the Land of Shadow, where dark new secrets await to be revealed. Players can explore a new but similarly dense map with new weapons, equipment, weapon skills, and magic to try out. Furthermore, the players will come across new and even more deadly enemies and boss encounters this time around, so all that grinding in the base game will be for nothing.
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is available for pre-order now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC. Pre-ordering the expansion will fetch you a Bonus Gesture for the game. Also, there are 3 editions of the game that players can purchase.
First up is the Shadow of the Erdtree edition, which includes the base game and the expansion. Then we have the deluxe edition, which includes an Elden Ring Digital Artbook & Original Soundtrack and Shadow of the Erdtree Digital Artbook & Original Soundtrack, on top of the base game and DLC. Lastly, we have the Shadow of the Erdtree Premium Bundle, which includes the DLC, its Digital Artbook and Original Soundtrack, but does not come with the base game.
The real enthusiasts can also go for the Collector Edition, which includes a 46cm statue of one of the boss characters in the DLC, “Messmer the Impaler”. You also received the Shadow of the Erdtree Digital Artbook and Original Soundtrack. However, the base game isn’t included in this edition.
