How To Parry In The Forge

This guide will give you clear instructions on how to parry in The Forge, making even the strongest of enemies easier to counter. Learn this trick to give yourself an edge in the depths of The Forge.

The Forge is not just about mining ores and forging gear — the deeper players go into caves to get rarer minerals, the more dangerous it becomes. Hostile creatures lurk in those dark corridors, ready to strike — and if gamers don’t know how to defend themselves properly, even top-tier weapons and armor won’t save them. Once players reach Forgotten Kingdom, enemies get tougher and more aggressive; by the time players enter Volcanic Depths, foes like elite skeletons or reapers can easily overwhelm unprepared players.

But there’s a crucial mechanic many players overlook: parrying. Parrying in The Forge lets you deflect incoming attacks — if players master it, they can drastically improve survivability and keep mining and fighting without constantly getting wrecked.

How To Block In The Forge

Before a player can learn about parrying attacks, they’ll first need to learn about blocking attacks. In the Roblox game The Forge, blocking is rather simple. It’s a defensive mechanic that helps reduce damage from enemy attacks, instead of taking the full brunt of the attack. However, blocking doesn’t make the player invincible; it does improve their survival, especially in the midst of a tough battle.

Here’s how to block in The Forge Roblox (on the PC):

  1. Make sure your weapon is equipped, as the pickaxe doesn’t count as a weapon.
  2. As an enemy attacks, hold the F key (requires shift-lock) on the keyboard.
  3. Your character will step into a blocking stance and reduce incoming damage.

This works best when timed correctly, as holding block for too long or too early will drain your character’s stamina and leave the player vulnerable after the enemy finishes their attack.

How To Parry In The Forge

Parrying in The Forge is a timing skill that turns enemy hits into openings. Instead of holding block, players must hit the block button at the instant an enemy’s attack would connect in this Roblox game. A perfect parry cancels damage, staggers the attacker, and hands players a free counter. Follow these steps to learn how to parry in The Forge fast.

1.      Equip Your Weapon (not a pickaxe).

Parry only works while your combat weapon is equipped. Switch off mining tools before you try to block.

2.      Know Your Block Control.

Use right-click (or whatever key you’ve bound to block). If you changed the keybind, make sure you know the exact button.

3.      Watch The Enemy Animation.

Stand close enough to see attack wind-ups (overheads, lunges, charges). Parry timing is based on the enemy’s animation cues.

4.      Don’t Hold Block — Time It.

Wait until the very last frame of the enemy’s swing — the moment the hit would land — then press block. That single timed press is a parry.

5.      Recognize A Successful Parry.

You’ll take no damage, and the enemy will stagger or be briefly stunned. That’s your window to strike back.

6.      Counter Immediately.

After a parry in The Forge, press your attack to punish the staggered enemy while they’re vulnerable.

7.      Manage Stamina And Spacing.

Blocking repeatedly can cost stamina (or leave you out of position). Use parry for single attacks or heavy swings; dodge or roll for multi-hit or AOE attacks.

Tips To Master The Parry In The Forge

All this, however, is easier said than done, as parrying often works best when players can predict the enemy’s attack pattern or against a slower enemy. That being said, here are a few tips to help parry in The Forge:

  • Use the right gear: Some weapons and shields may have better parry windows or faster block animations, making it easier to parry.
  • Stay calm in combat: Panicking leads to mistimed blocks. Stay focused and wait for the right moment.
  • Combine with dodging: Parrying works best when combined with dodging to avoid getting overwhelmed.
  • Watch enemy animations and cues. Most monsters in The Forge telegraph their attacks — heavy swings, overhead strikes, or charge-up animations. Once you recognize these, you’ll know when to press block. Against slower or heavy-weapon foes (like skeletons or reapers), parry in The Forge is especially effective because their attack animations are easier to read.
