A fresh batch of Mega Evolution Pokémon have been added to Pokémon Legends: Z-A with the Mega Dimension DLC, including both Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y, with the Mega Stones for each acquired simulataneously.
The Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A features a host of new and returning Mega Evolution Pokémon, with the two forms of Raichu being the first pair of additions revealed for the DLC.
Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y are not obtained through main story progression, however, but Insider Gaming can lead you to exactly where you need to be to claim the pair.
How to Get Mega Raichu X & Mega Raichu Y in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Both forms of Mega Raichu in Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC are obtained by defeating the pair of Pokémon in a double battle, available as a side quest in Hyperspace Lumiose.
Before this side mission becomes available, you must complete the side mission in the main game to trade a Raichu for an Alolan Raichu. If you’re yet to do this, it’s easy to find as the NPC for the trade is found outside of the Quasartico Inc. building and is easy to spot, with Alolan Raichu by her side.
Once completed, a new mission will spawn in the north of Lumiose City, near the Lumiose Museum and the Rouge Pokémon Center.
Locate the Hyperspace Distortion, head inside, and explore the area until you find two NPC characters alongside a pair of Raichu, one of which is the NPC you previously traded with. There are no other Pokémon or tasks to complete in this area, so you can focus solely on the side mission.
Speak to the NPCs to initiate a double battle against their Raichus, which is ‘The Dauntless Raichu Duo’ side mission. While you will have to face both forms of Mega Raichu at the same time, you will only be able to use one Pokémon.
Once the battle is completed and both Mega Raichu are defeated, the trainers will gift you Mega Stones for both Mega Evolution forms.
