Capcom unveiled a brand new trailer for Resident Evil Requiem at Gamescom 2025, finally showcasing some new gameplay action.
Resident Evil Requiem is one of the most anticipated games at the moment, with new leaks about the game surfacing every day. Recently, we were informed that the upcoming title will reportedly feature three playable characters. We had also learned several story details about Requiem, with the insider revealing RE9 will be the last numbered game in the franchise.
Resident Evil Requiem Gameplay Showcases Intense Action Sequences
Resident Evil Requiem’s new gameplay gave players a look at the type of horror the series is known for as Alyssa and Grace Ashcroft have to escape a killer after a power outage at the Wrenwood Hotel. Unfortunately, Alyssa doesn’t make it out alive.
In addition to the new trailer, which you can see below, Resident Evil Requiem will be available to play for the first time in a public setting at Gamescom in Cologne.
Resident Evil Requiem is the ninth instalment in the mainline series, and it takes players back to the city of disaster and despair, Raccoon City. You get to play as Grace Ashcroft, who is an intelligence analyst for the FBI, and is heading back to the abandoned hotel alone to investigate her mother’s mysterious death.
In other news, the next Resident Evil Remakes are reportedly going to be Code Veronica and Zero, and they are expected to arrive in 2027/2028.
