Fans of Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege are wondering when the next major content update will be revealed. The good news is they don’t have long to wait. The hugely anticipated update, which will represent Year 11 Season 3, will bring about a new defender operator who can counter shields, a Legend Division in Ranked 3.0, and map overhauls.

Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 Season 3 is Coming Soon
The reveal panel for Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 11 Season 3 update will take place on August 15th, just before the Esports World Cup’s grand final event. This massive tournament wraps on that day, presenting one organization with a staggering $750,000 prize and unlocking instant qualification for the upcoming Six Invitational 2027 event.
It’s during this showcase that we’ll learn everything possible about the upcoming Rainbow Six Siege update.

From what we already know, the fresh operator landing with the new season will be an Egyptian combatant, and they’ll emerge as a defender who can perfectly counter shield users.
We also know that multiple map improvements are inbound as part of Year 11 Season 3, as well as a Legend Division, which promises to add another layer to the evolving Ranked platform.
Players will also be able to dive into a new 3v3 arcade game mode and take advantage of fresh operator mastery mechanics.
That’s all well and good, but when could Year 11 Season 3 be released?
If we lean on past release dates for new seasons and draw some conclusions based on the correlation of things like tournament start dates, we can assume that Year 11 Season 3 will launch on September 1st.
Then, in December, we should get Year 11 Season 4 to wrap the 2026 window. That should be revealed during the BLAST R6 Major Osaka, much in the same way as the Year 11 Season 3 update will be revealed during the Esports World Cup.
