KT Rolster and Kiwoom DRX have announced a swap deal which sees League of Legends players Kim ‘Aiming’ Ha-ram and Jung ‘Jiwoo’ Ji-woo swap orgs in the LCK.
The swap deal quickly follows the removal of Aiming from KT’s active roster due to ‘internal conflicts’ which saw KT’s LCK Challengers Bot Laner Park ‘FenRir’ Kang-jun play against T1 in the LCK.
Where does Aiming and Jiwoo swap deal leave the teams?
The swap deal has come as suddenly as Aiming’s removal, with the KT Rolster organization itself emphasizing that the deterioration of Aiming’s relationship with the team meant they were forced into action.
Prior to KT’s Telecom Wars contest in the LCK, KT Head Coach Go ‘Score’ Dong-bin remarked on the sudden nature of the move, stating, “We actually haven’t even had the chance to scrim with FenRir yet. That’s how suddenly everything happened.”
Score added, “I felt that the trust within the team had been damaged to the point where it became difficult for us to practice normally. That’s why this decision was made”
For KRX, they have secured Aiming out of the situation, perhaps viewing the risks attached to Aiming’s personality clashes and personal controversies as outweighed by his talent in the role.
The news means that KT Rolster has three notable Bot Laners on its books, after the swap of Jang ‘Ghost’ Yong-jun from the Support role to ADC.
While FenRir took senior duties after Aiming’s benching, Ghost has played in the Bot Lane for KT Rolster Challengers. Ghost had previously been an established part of the Tier 1 scene, finishing runner-up at Worlds 2021 as part of DAMWON Gaming, but his switch to ADC saw KT Rolster prefer FenRir for the LCK.
With Jiwoo now part of the roster, the exact solution of where and when the three ADCs will play is now unclear. With KT Rolster already out of the KeSPA Cup 2026, they will only have LCK Regular Season and LCK Challengers matchups to give players time in competitive matches.
KT Rolster currently sits in fourth place in the LCK Legends Group with a 14-5 series record. KRX have the inverse stat line, sitting at 5-14 and fourth in the Rise Group, a finish which would see them miss out on the August LCK Play-Ins.
